Lake Area Corn Processors, LLC (LACP) is the 1000 plus members that own Dakota Ethanol, LLC.  A group of local producers, investors and community members that began with an idea that evolved into Dakota Ethanol, LLC.  Ethanol production began in September 2001.  Today Dakota Ethanol, LLC produces 48 million gallons of ethanol annually from 17 million bushels of locally grown corn.  In addition the plant provides a high quality Distillers Grains for livestock feed.

Dakota Ethanol, LLC not only produces an eco-friendly fuel and highly sought after Distillers Grain; it employs 38 full-time individuals and positively impacts the local and regional economies.
