OMAHA (DTN) -- Five percent of the nation's corn crop was harvested by the end of last week, slightly ahead of last year, according to USDA NASS's weekly Crop Progress report released on Tuesday. The report, which is normally released on Mondays, was delayed this week due to the Labor Day holiday.

Corn was 96% in the dough stage, 76% dented, 25% mature, 5% harvested and 56% of the crop was rated in good-to-excellent condition.

Soybean dropping leaves were 26% and 58% were rated in good-to-excellent condition.

Spring wheat was 86% harvested.

Check this page throughout the afternoon for additional highlights from this week's report.
