Lake Area Corn Processors, LLC (LACP) is made up of the 1060 plus members who are local producers, investors and community members that began with an idea that evolved into Dakota Ethanol, LLC. Ethanol production began in September 2001. Today Dakota Ethanol, LLC produces 100 million gallons of ethanol annually from 33 million bushels of locally grown corn. In addition the plant provides high quality Distillers Grains for livestock feed.

Dakota Ethanol, LLC not only produces an eco-friendly fuel and highly sought after Distillers Grain; it employs 48 full-time individuals and positively impacts the local and regional economies.
