DTN COMMENTS:  A light trade is developing at midday with Northern 
dressed deals marked at $292, $1 lower than last week's weighted average 
basis Nebraska. Southern live business is being done at $182, steady with 
last week's weighted average. Some asking prices remain firm around $184 
to $185 in the South, and $295-plus in the North. 

Beef cutouts are higher at midday (choice 295.93 +0.13, select 291.07 
+1.80) with light to moderate box movement (55.46 lds of choice cuts, 
11.25 lds of select cuts, 13.92 lds of trim, and 8.92 lds of ground). 
Cattle futures at midday are mostly lower on both live and feeder 
contracts.
